THIS IS MY BACKYARD - 2013-2014 - EXCURSION
class 1 Haukivuori

Children from the first class in Haukivuori were visiting the exhibition ANIMALS! in Mikkeli Art Museum.
The different rooms were showing different categories of animals and it was interesting to explore their way of moving, their specific sounds etc.
The artists have visualized the animals in different ways, sometimes they expressed the shape, or softness, sometimes they give an impression of the monumental shape of the animal.
Children have tried to communicate with the different animals (without touching the art works) to listen to their stories and to tell them about themselves.

The exhibition was located on the second floor of the museum and already on the stairs children noticed their footprints.
The sheet with 3 art works and details which the children have connected.

The different rooms had different colors to create a special ambiance related to the animals on the art works.
